Mark Burget serves as the executive vice president and North America managing director for The Nature Conservancy, a leading global conservation organization whose mission is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.
Mark previously served as the Conservancy’s chief Conservation Programs officer, overseeing country programs in North America, Latin America, Africa, Australia, and the Asia-Pacific Region. Over the past 20 years, he also has served as The Nature Conservancy’s California program director, Colorado program director, and director of global priorities.
From 2008 through 2011, Mark served as president and chief operating officer of the ClimateWorks Foundation, a global philanthropic network focused on climate change, energy and land use policy.
Mark earned both his J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Virginia and his B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College.
