Amy Fuerstenau

Senior Campaign Strategist

Amy Fuerstenau is the Senior Campaign Strategist at the Energy Foundation. Before joining our staff in December 2008, she was the Energy Policy Advisor to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, where she was responsible for formulating and moving the energy and climate change legislative agenda in the U.S. House of Representatives, including the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007. During her eight years on Capitol Hill, Amy was Legislative Director for Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI), senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and was Environment, Labor and Trade Policy Advisor to the former House Democratic Whip, David Bonior (D-MI). Since 1996, she has worked on several congressional and gubernatorial campaigns, primarily in the Midwest, including Ohio, Iowa, and Michigan.

Amy holds a B.A. In International Relations from Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
