Senior Program Manager, Energy Efficiency For All

 

Jennifer Somers is Senior Program Director for the Energy Efficiency For All program, where she leads, develops, and deploys program strategies with a focus on affordable multifamily housing. Prior to joining the Energy Foundation, she managed a $140 million plan at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) aimed at building the capacity of DOE’s Weatherization Assistance Program during the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act and transforming the greater home performance industry by ensuring the quality of energy upgrades. She has also served as a program officer for the Local Initiatives Support Corporation in San Francisco, where she provided technical assistance and tools to enable multifamily developers to integrate green building and energy efficient practices into their portfolios. Jennifer also advised the California Public Utilities Commission and investor-owned utilities on implementation of the California Solar Initiative.  She has served on the Board of Directors of the Interstate Renewable Energy Council and Build It Green.
 
Jennifer holds an M.A. in Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, and a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Fairfield University.
