Illai Kenney

Program Associate, Northeast

Illai Kenney supports the Northeast team in planning and managing projects and budgets, making and administering grants, preparing and managing proposals, and working with advocates and other partners to execute strategies and projects.

Illai previously served as a program manager in the Howard University Office of Sustainability, where she was responsible for helping to facilitate all things green. A few of her responsibilities included managing new sustainability projects (solar energy, green space, composting), managing the recycling program, and facilitating student engagement. Inspired by her experience there, Illai partnered with her mom, Felicia Davis, to create the HBCU Green Fund, a non-profit that focuses on providing expertise and funding for large scale sustainability projects at historically Black colleges and universities.
