Leslie Wickes supports the work of the Southeast office’s full regional team by leading internal coordination, project management, strategic planning and the processes for the region’s most complex grants and contracts.
Prior to joining Energy Foundation, Leslie worked with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), spanning climate change research, digital communications and project management. Most recently, she led the Southeast Ocean and Coastal Acidification Network, a federally funded regional network, serving as a liaison to NOAA, building regional capacity, facilitating synthesis of research and expansion of network priorities to integrate efforts with stakeholders. She has extensive experience in grantwriting for academic, nonprofit, and federal programs.
Leslie earned a B.S. in Biology and Economics from Penn State University, and a Master’s Degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the College of Charleston.
