Shannon Raborn is the Senior Regional Director, West. She works in close partnership with U.S. Energy Foundation staff, grantees, allies, and funders to guide the foundation’s strategies in the West. She works across government, business, civic, and nonprofit sectors, building momentum for the transition to an energy system that is clean, profitable, reliable, low-cost, and safe.
Before joining U.S. Energy Foundation, Shannon served as the Southern Nevada Director and Policy Advisor for U.S. Senator Harry Reid. She has held different roles in the environmental space—beginning her career as an organizer; associate director for the Tahoe Rim Trail Association and director for Responsible Trails America; working in land use; and running field offices. She has advised on and implemented several state-level and presidential campaigns.
