As Vice President (VP), People and Culture, Jonathan Lonian serves as a functional and strategic thought leader and directs all aspects of U.S. Energy Foundation’s (EF) work to support and align the people and culture to serve the overall organizational mission, vision, and values. Jonathan provides vision and leadership for EF’s employee experience and plays a critical and strategic role as a human resources advisor to senior leadership and management. He is responsible for setting and evaluating equitable, legally-compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range, strategic talent management goals.

Prior to joining EF, Jonathan led people and culture efforts as Director, Human Resources of Boston-based digital agency, Cantina. He previously moved through progressively more challenging human resources roles in healthcare, public media, and financial services, and at organizations such as BMC HealthNet Plan, WGBH, and TransUnion.
