Our strategies for compensation and benefits are designed to support a culture of health and financial well-being that puts staff wellness at the forefront. U.S. Energy Foundation’s (EF) approach to employee compensation is designed to be fair, equitable, and transparent. Our salary ranges are available to all of our employees, and we sponsor an external pay equity analysis every year to ensure parity among those who perform similar work.
Comprehensive medical, vision and dental insurance for employees, spouses/domestic partners and dependent children, with 100% of monthly premiums paid by the foundation. EF also covers co-pays and provides a generous HSA benefit.
Paid Time Off: Employees receive a generous sick leave benefit, as well as flexible paid time off. In addition to 12 recognized U.S. holidays, employees also enjoy a paid holiday week between December 24 and January 1, as well as the full week of July 4. After seven years of consecutive service, employees in good standing can take a six-week, 100% paid sabbatical.
EF contributes 5% of the employee’s gross earnings to a 403(b) retirement plan and will match up to an additional 5% (up to the IRS maximum). Immediately vested. Qualifying employees can also contribute to a 457 retirement account (up to the IRS maximum).
Remote-first work environment with the option to work from home or in an EF office; annual home office stipend for those who choose to telework.
