Our Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Along with our partner organizations in the climate and clean energy ecosystem, Energy Foundation is monitoring the rapidly evolving status of the COVID-19 pandemic and implementing measures to keep our staff and those with whom we work healthy and safe while continuing to advance our mission.

We have encouraged all staff to work remotely, restrict non-essential travel, hold meetings and check-ins via video and phone calls, and follow recommendations from their local health authorities. We also are reviewing planned Energy Foundation-hosted conferences to determine what should be canceled or postponed.

Energy Foundation grantees should get in touch with their program contact with any questions regarding the terms of a grant during this difficult time. We recognize that response to the virus continues to evolve and can look different to each community. Schools, daycare, legislative sessions, and other scheduled events could be modified or canceled as health precautions. If your grant or contract includes hosting or attending a conference, convening, or other public gathering in the next eight weeks, you must cancel or postpone the meeting. Beyond that time period, we encourage you to be in touch with your respective program officer as the situation evolves. Please adhere to all guidance from your local health departments to keep you and your community safe.

Invoices, grant payments, and other resources will continue to be processed as we monitor and assess the ongoing response to this situation. In the meantime, please reach out to your program officer with your thoughts, concerns, or recommendations as we all navigate this situation.

Our donor partners should feel free to reach out to Strategic Partnerships staff with any questions or concerns.

The entire Energy Foundation team hopes you and your loved ones remain healthy and safe.
