Laura supports the day-to-day execution of Southeast policy-related grants and projects, while ensuring alignment with overall program strategy and goals. She focuses on project and budget management, as well as some grant management on the most complex grants in the region.
Laura previously served as a State Climate Policy Intern at the U.S. Climate Alliance, where she conducted research on climate policies to help states achieve their emissions-reductions goals consistent with the U.N. Paris Agreement. Prior to that she engaged faith communities in climate advocacy as an Environmental Fellow with Virginia Interfaith Power and Light. Her graduate research involved working with the Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition to create a screening tool that measures statewide cumulative social and environmental impacts.
