Prior to that, Althea served as the Assistance Director, Capacity Building at the COMPASS Coordinating Center at the Emory University School of Public Health, and managed multiyear grants to HIV organizations and health care agencies; designed reports on grant spending and budget allocations, and developed and maintained processes and systems to track progress on grants. Althea has also worked with the Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault and on HBCU initiatives at Tougaloo College.
