Aminah Zaghab

Vice President, Policy

As Vice President, Policy, Aminah oversees EF’s overall policy efforts across the organization, leading the team of professionals who are working to achieve sectoral policy goals and who manage expert networks to fulfill the organization’s mission of securing a clean and equitable energy future to tackle the climate crisis. Aminah synthesizes strategies and ensures EF’s policy programs maximize ambition, increase innovation, and align to achieve EF’s organizational priorities. She also is attuned to important new areas of work in the field, and how EF may tackle these areas. Aminah previously served as Program Director, Clean Transportation at EF.

Aminah most recently held the role of Campaign Director at the Clean Cars Campaign, a coordinated coalition built to streamline strategic development and activity around vehicles on the national level. Prior to joining the campaign, Aminah was the Global Warming Solutions Advocate with Environment America, working on transportation decarbonization at the state and national levels, as well as federal environmental defense. She got her start working on environmental litigation.
