Araceli Vazquez oversees grant and contract execution for the West region, manages the program budget, synthesizes and analyzes initiative strategies, and supports funder relations activities for the region. She supports the region on public engagement strategies and specifically in California for the development of new campaigns in the state. Araceli also manages communications with current and prospective grantees in California.
Araceli was previously the District Field Representative/Policy Liaison to former Assembly Democratic Majority Leader V. Manuel Perez (Coachella, 56th AD). While there, she executed an affordable housing forum, organized a round table with the Clinton Health Matters Initiative on the Salton Sea and air quality in the Coachella Valley, and staffed local policy issues including water quality, geothermal resources, renewable energy, public safety, affordable housing, health, and education. Since 2012, she has worked on various assembly and local city council campaigns in the Coachella Valley.
