Isabel Cortes works with Jennifer Somers, Senior Program Manager, Energy Efficiency For All (EEFA). Focused at the intersection of affordable multifamily housing and clean energy, EEFA works to enhance access and resources for moderate income families. Isabel supports the program by administering grants, enhancing strategy development, and managing the program budget. Isabel also coordinates grant renewals, and communicates with grantees, funders, and EEFA national partners.
Prior to joining the Energy Foundation, Isabel served as a district representative in the office of California State Senator Loni Hancock (9th State SD) and focused on environmental policy and legislative affairs. While in this role, she also provided case management by supporting constituents with their various inquiries at state departments.
Isabel completed a double B.A. in Ethnic Studies and Political, Legal, and Economic Analysis at Mills College, and an M.A. in Public Policy, also from Mills.
