Based in Las Vegas, Katherine (Kati) Lorenzo is the West team representative on cross-cutting initiatives. She leads the grantmaking for the West DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) portfolio, advising West team leadership about grantees’ alignment with strategic plans, state priorities, and team values. She ensures connections among the West grantee network. And she also manages the day-to-day execution of a selected set of priority campaigns in the West.
Kati has been fighting for the rights of low-income and communities of color since she was in high school, most recently as the Senior Organizer with Chispa NV, working with underrepresented communities to bring their voices front and center in the environmental movement and to advance just climate and clean energy solutions in the state. She also has worked with Mi Familia Vota and Organizing for Action.
