Madison Byarley

Program Associate, Building Decarbonization

Madison supports EF’s Building Decarbonization Program by making and administering grants, and by working with advocates to execute strategies and projects. Madison arranges meetings with grantees, consultants, and funders; manages the program budget; reviews grant proposals; and manages incoming communications and requests to the team. Additionally, she provides administrative support to the team and implements systems and processes to facilitate internal and external collaboration.

Previously, Madison worked in the Office of Sustainability for the City of Indianapolis, as the Thriving Buildings Program Manager, where managed a portfolio of city buildings to make them more efficient, wrote grant proposals for energy efficiency measures, and worked with building owners and managers throughout the city on tracking energy and water use in their buildings. Prior to that, Madison served as an Environmental Manager in the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
