
Miguel supports EF’s Midwest regional team to plan and manage projects and budgets, make and administer grants, and work with advocates and other partners to execute strategies and projects. Miguel manages projects within and outside the team, develops and implements systems and processes to facilitate internal and external collaboration, provides administrative support to the team, and plans and supports meetings, conferences, and other events.
Most recently, Miguel was a labor organizer with SEIU Local 2015, where he negotiated and won multiple contract campaigns, and organized union members for action. Previously, Miguel served in the Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, as both a Scheduling Assistant and a Staff Assistant, where he organized and maintained the supervisor’s events calendar, provided memos on program updates, and organized contacts. Prior to that, Miguel worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Alumni and Community Engagement at the University of California, San Diego, and organized gift-giving data and planned university-wide alumni and community events. Miguel also has worked as a Program Assistant in the Office of Administrative Services at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College.
