Nick Sifuentes guides Energy Foundation strategies to build public support for clean energy and climate policies in the Northeast. Working in the region and in close partnership with the foundation’s campaign experts across the country, Nick designs strategies that create the diverse coalitions and collaborations needed to meet ambitious state policy goals in the power, buildings, transportation, and climate sectors.
Before joining Energy Foundation, Nick was Executive Director of Tri-State Transportation Campaign, leading an organizational change process, including developing new equity-focused vision, mission statements, campaign goals, and staff structure. He also led winning campaigns for state action on congestion pricing, transit electrification, bus network redesign, bus lane enforcement cameras, and more. Before that he served as Deputy Director of the Riders Alliance, a membership organization of subway and bus riders in New York dedicated to winning better transit by organizing riders into a powerful political constituency. He previously was Senior Associate in BerlinRosen Public Affairs’ national issue advocacy practice, and Sierra Club’s press secretary for the Northeast region.
