As Senior Program Manager, Program Operations, Yen supports EF’s Program team to drive innovation in our grantmaking and to better assess the impact of our policy work. She helps to lead EF’s Innovation Fund, which allows foundation staff to propose new strategies and projects to increase equity and reduce carbon pollution. Yen also leads efforts to develop ways to measure the impact of our policy work across the U.S. and in specific state and regional campaigns, and to better communicate that impact, with particular attention paid to assessing our work to drive equitable outcomes.
Yen brings 10 years of experience in the nonprofit development sector to EF. She previously worked as the Director of Impact at the Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission, where she led the development of the strategic planning process for the largest nonprofit in the Central Valley. Prior to that, Yen oversaw grantmaking processes, evaluated grantee performance, and implemented monitoring, evaluation, and learning initiatives with the Central Valley Community Foundation. Yen also has multiple years of experience abroad in human rights law, international development, and humanitarian relief.
